Insights from Pattie Sellers

Pattie Sellers, moderator of the Dialogue with Leadership discussion, has written some of FORTUNE's most talked-about cover stories, as well as insightful pieces on career management issues. Pattie also chairs the annual FORTUNE Most Powerful Women Summit, the preeminent gathering of women leaders in business, philanthropy, government, academia, and the arts.

In Pattie's new blog, Postcards, she provides insight into the lives of "super-achievers and other powerful people" through daily commentary, career advice to readers, and guest posts from major players. It's about powerful people, insights into them and advice from them about life at the top and navigating careers. Visit Pattie's blog at: http://postcards.blogs.fortune.cnn.com/

In Pattie Sellers recent mention of the MBA Women’s conference on her blog, Postcards, she draws on the parallels of how both panelists, Sharon Allen and Lisa Weber moved outside of their comfort zones to become extraordinary leaders. To read the blog post, click here.

Thank You MBA Women!

Thanks to the MBA Women who participated in Forté’s 2008 MBA Women’s Conference last month in New York City.

For incoming MBAs, I hope that Forté’s conference successfully launched your MBA experience, and for rising 2nd years and recent graduates, I hope it provided you with the boost you needed as you kick-off your summer internship or full-time job. The conference offered an amazing array of options—from networking with women business leaders to connecting with progressive companies at the Career Fair to in-depth sessions that explored the latest issues facing women in business to skills-building workshops that prepared you for your business school experience.

But your engagement with Forté doesn’t end with the conference—it’s just the beginning. Throughout the year we offer webinars, podcasts, and newsletters to stay connected with you virtually. Our Forté Forums for women interested in pursuing an MBA start on September 8th. Tell your friends.

And finally, you’ll want to mark your calendar for Forté’s 2009 MBA Women’s Conference: June 26-27.

Sincerely,
Elissa Sangster
Executive Director
Forté Foundation
