Registration Questions

  • What is the registration process?
    Our registration form will collect your profile and academic information. The second part of the registration requires you to submit your deposit in order to reserve your seat. The last section of our registration will require you to upload a resume to the Forté Job Center. Registrants can upload a resume here.

  • How much does it cost to attend a Forté College Conference?
    For fall 2021, students will be asked to pay $25 during registration to reserve their seat at the conference. For students at Forté Partner schools and those demonstrating financial need, this $25 will be refunded after uploading their resume to our Job Center, attending the conference, and completing the post-event survey.

  • Can I register for more than one Forté College Conference?
    Yes, you may register for and attend more than one Forté College Conference during the Fall 2021 semester.

  • What happens after I’m registered?
    You’ll continue to receive messages from Forté leading up to the event. Expect a link to the virtual conference platform (Hopin) to arrive in your inbox approximately one week before the event. Do not opt-out of Forté emails or you may miss valuable event information.

  • What if I don’t know my schedule for the conference dates yet or my schedule changes?
    We know that undergrad life is constantly changing day by day. We encourage you to register now to reserve your seat and you'll have up to 2 weeks before to let us know if you will not be able to attend and will receive a refund on your deposit.

  • What if after confirming my seat, I have a conflict and can no longer attend?
    We understand plans may change and you may no longer be able to attend. Please reach out to the Forté Undergrad Team if you have to withdraw your registration at least 2 weeks prior to the event. The majority of our events have a waitlist. We would like to offer someone your seat if you cannot attend. Forté will post a final date after which deposits are nonrefundable, usually two weeks before the event. You will receive an email with your admission decision.

  • If I have a class or a commitment that overlaps with the event, can I attend for just part of the event?
    We encourage you to attend the whole conference if possible! However, many sessions will be recorded so you can jump in/out of the event if you have a conflict and tune in at a time convenient for you.

  • What happens if I’m on the waitlist?
    We’ll be admitting students from the waitlist based on registrant cancellations up to approximately one week before the event. Keep an eye on your email inbox for details on if a seat opens up for you!

General Conference Questions

  • What should I wear during the conference?
    Business casual attire. You should be comfortable sitting and being on video throughout the day. Here are some great tips to help you stand out. If you have questions about appropriate attire, please reach out to Forté. For some conferences or sessions, Forté may invite you to show your “school spirit”.

  • What should I have on the day of the conference?
    Make sure you have a strong Internet connection on your laptop, computer, or tablet so that you can connect to the conference sessions. We recommend having a notebook and paper nearby as well. Be well-rested and ready for a great day.

  • How can I connect with other conference attendees?
    Forté will share a link to a private online discussion board in your registration confirmation email. This discussion board is a place to connect with other students about tips for the event, converse about companies you’re excited to connect with, exchange LinkedIn information, and get more conference details.

  • How can I get in contact with professionals from the conference?
    Ask the professionals at the conference for their contact information. You can also connect with them on LinkedIn after the event. Reminder: When connecting on LinkedIn, remember to include a personal note!

  • When do I get my conference seat deposit back?
    If eligible, your deposit will be reimbursed/refunded to the account used to make the deposit within ten business days after the conference. In order to be eligible to receive your deposit refund, you must upload your resume to our Job Center, attend the conference, and complete the post-event survey.

  • I absolutely loved attending a Forté college conference… How can I continue this momentum in my everyday life?
    Forté has plenty of ways for you to continue to build on the skills you gained during the conference! Take advantage of our undergrad programming throughout the entire academic year. Plus, all college conference attendees have access to earn a Career Ready Certificate through our self-guided online career accelerator.
