Women of Color Leadership Symposium - Frequently Asked Questions

REGISTRATION QUESTIONS

  • What is the registration process?
Students who are interested in attending the Women of Color Leadership Symposium will need to complete a registration form, which will collect profile and academic information and upload a resume to the Forté Job Center. Forté reserves the right to revoke registration at any time for any reason.

  • How much does it cost to attend the Women of Color Leadership Symposium?
When registering for the Women of Color Leadership Symposium, students will be asked to submit a $20.00 deposit in order to reserve a seat. This deposit will be refunded after attending the symposium in its entirety. Please contact the Forté Undergraduate Programs Team at college@fortefoundation.org should the deposit cause an undue financial hardship.

  • Is there a registration limit for the Women of Color Leadership Symposium?
Registration is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Registrants may be placed on a waitlist given the capacity restrictions of the event space. Students will be admitted from the waitlist based on registrant cancellations up to approximately one week before the event. Changes in registration status will be communicated by email - please keep an eye on your inbox!

  • What if I don’t know my schedule for the symposium dates yet or my schedule changes?
We know that life is busy and that your schedule is fluid. We encourage you to register now to reserve your seat. You'll have up to two weeks before the event to let us know if you will not be able to attend. There will be a waitlist for the Women of Color Leadership Symposium and, as a result, we would like to offer someone your seat if you are unable to attend.

  • What happens if I need to cancel my registration?
Please cancel your registration by October 20, 2023 so that we can provide your space at the symposium to a person on the waitlist. You can cancel your registration by emailing the Forté Undergraduate Programs Team at college@fortefoundation.org. Failure to cancel by October 20, 2023, may result in a forfeit of your deposit.

  • What happens after I’m registered?
You will continue to receive communication from Forté after registering for the Women of Color Leadership Symposium. Do not opt-out of Forté emails or you may miss valuable event information.

  • Can I register for more than one Forté College symposium in an academic year?
Yes, you may register for and attend more than one Forté College event during the 2023-2024 academic year.
