Welcome to the Forté Corporate Best Practices blog. As a consortium of top companies and leading business schools working together to support the advancement of women in business, we host an annual summit each year to exchange best practices around recruiting and retaining top female talent. The Corporate Best Practices Summit typically takes place in the Spring—so this blog will be an opportunity for the attendees to continue the rich dialogue and cross-industry networking that got started on May 7th, 2008.
Anne Weisberg, Director in Talent, Deloitte, co-author of Mass Career Customization and member of the Forté Board of Directors has kindly agreed to be our moderator. Anne will get us started each month with a new posting and we invite you to join the conversation—share ideas, experiences, next practices, and even your worst (never do again) practices. Post your articles. Express your opinions. Where the conversation goes is really up to each of us.
While spirited debate and varying perspectives are always welcome, there are some rules to abide by (see Blog Etiquette). The rules aren't meant to put a damper on the dialogue, they're simply to make sure everyone feels welcomed and nobody gets hurt so we can continue sharing ideas and opinions.
