At the recent Clinton Global Initiative Annual Meeting, ExxonMobil hosted an engaging discussion on increasing economic opportunities for women around the world.
We were delighted that Dr. Condoleezza Rice and Cherie Blair joined us to offer their insights on the challenge of developing business leadership and entrepreneurial skills among women of various cultures. We were also fortunate to have NBC's Andrea Mitchell on hand to moderate. The result was an animated symposium before an audience of leaders from business, government, academia and the NGO community.

The Mills College Public Policy Program and the Lorry I. Lokey Graduate School of Business worked together to design the program to provide graduates with career flexibility and the capacity to function collaboratively across public, private, and nonprofit sectors.

Diverse Issues in Higher Education Magazine
As the first Black woman president of Mills College, Alecia DeCoudreaux leads an undergraduate program dedicated solely to women, one of fewer than 60 such U.S. institutions left in this country. Mills’ more than 1,500 students include 42 percent ethnic minorities among undergraduates and 39 percent among graduate students, which include men.
A graduate of Wellesley College and Indiana University’s law school, DeCoudreaux is also a Wellesley trustee and former board chairwoman. Prior to joining Mills, she had spent 30 years at Eli Lilly and Co. in various executive leadership positions including vice president and general counsel.

The ExxonMobil Foundation announced its support of the UAE's first Global Women in Management programme. The programme's objective is to enhance the leadership and management skills of women leaders with roles in the nonprofit sector and who contribute to civil society. The Centre for Development and Population Activities (CEDPA), an internationally recognized nongovernmental organization, will lead the programme.
"Investing in women is vital to creating strong communities," said Suzanne McCarron, president of the ExxonMobil Foundation.
