Leadership Bootcamp Includes
A private one-on-one coaching session to support your growth as a leader.
Your individual Expert Strengths Profile to help you recognize your strengths and take action to develop them.
A peer coaching template to guide and facilitate coaching conversations in all aspects of your life.
The opportunity to join a network of peers who have all learned the SOAR coaching technique and are available to practice peer coaching.
What to Expect from Leadership Bootcamp
Day One
You’ll learn to use your unique strengths to be a better coach - whether coaching direct reports or colleagues in a cross-functional setting. The skills you learn will help you create a coaching culture that empowers others and unlocks the full potential of those around you.
- Part One: Why and How to lead a team by creating a coaching culture
- Part Two: Defining an authentic and effective leadership style using your unique strengths.
Day Two
You’ll put everything you learned on Day One into practice during Day Two. With the SOAR coaching model, you’ll practice how to stop telling and start asking - the essential coaching skill.
- Part One: Introduction to the SOAR coaching model
- Part Two: Practice the SOAR coaching model through peer coaching using your specific team challenges.
- Part Three: Conclude with a roadmap for success back at the office.
Executive Coaching
In addition to the two-day intensive sessions, you will schedule a one-on-one coaching session with executive coach Valerie Paul. During this private consultation, Valerie will hone in on your unique leadership style to guide you in developing a personal action plan. Register early to schedule your session for the best availability.
Meet the Executive Coach
Valerie Paul
Leadership Bootcamp Executive Coach
Valerie Paul is passionate about helping people, especially women, succeed and grow in all areas of life. Valerie is well-known in the Forté community for her impact as a coach and facilitator in the Rise, MBA Takeoff, and Career Strategist programs. She is often engaged by participants post-program to continue on as their private coach. She received her MBA from the University of Texas and coach training through Coach U.
Meet the Faculty
Amy Orlov
Accredited Strengths Profile Practitioner
Amy is the Director of Professional Programs at Forté, a role in which she introduces women to new ideas and deep networks. She is constantly finding new ways to leverage and extend Forté's programming to provide additional impact for women in college, MBA and professional audiences. Amy is also a co-author and architect of the Forté Allies for Gender Equity initiatives which offer men a framework to be stronger allies in gender equity.
Prior to Forté, Amy was the Director of Professional Education and Training at the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), managing a portfolio of onsite and online conferences, symposia and training events. Prior to that, Amy was the Director of the MBA Program Office and Student Services at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Throughout her career, Amy has also worked as an educational consultant, providing clients with program design and delivery, assessment and strategy input, and workshop facilitation and leadership program development. Amy holds a Master of Education from the University of Maryland, and a Master of Government and a B.A. in Communications from the University of Pennsylvania. She lives in Philadelphia with her human, canine, and feline daughters.
Diana Saiz
Certified Professional in Talent Development
Diana Saiz is a Certified Professional in Talent Development with a Masters from Florida International University Masters. She spent fifteen years specializing in human resources, leadership development, and employee engagement in both Miami and New York City before settling in central Florida, where she taught career courses at the Warrington College of Business at the University of Florida. Today Diana is a valuable member of the Forté team working to support women in business. She contributes her skills and extensive experience to teaching women the value of developing a coaching culture as they rise up the leadership ranks.
