At Questrom, we recognize that our differences are our strength and the diversity of our community shows the dedication we have to that mission. Questrom boasts a student body that is 43% women, with multiple graduate programs at or above 50%. Women make up 34% of our full-time faculty, with four women out of 11 Questrom leadership positions currently held by women. Susan Fournier, Allen Questrom Professor and Dean, serves as the school’s first woman dean.

The Center for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion supports all identity-based student clubs, including herNetwork, the Women’s MBA Association (WMBAA), and the Women in OMBA Affinity Group (WOMBA). The Women’s MBA Association, one of the largest and most active graduate clubs at Questrom, is a student-led group that provides community, social opportunities, career guidance, and support to women. They plan a number of events each year for women in our graduate programs including workshops, networking and social events. Recently, they hosted “She Leads Boston”, a conference and networking event for women MBA students across the Boston area. The Women in OMBA Affinity Group hosts an interview series called “The OMBA Chronicles: Adventures of Women in Business and a series during Women’s History Month called “#BreakTheBias” to help women advocate for themselves in the workplace.

Attracting and advancing women is a priority at the Tepper School of Business. In addition to offering Forté Fellowships, we participate in a portfolio of initiatives including Forté Forums, MBALaunch and Forté conferences. We also have Forté Ambassadors to help our women students take full advantage of the Forté network. Each year, the Tepper School and the Tepper Women in Business club host a women's leadership conference to enhance the development of current and prospective students and elevate the conversation among businesswomen in the region.

At the Tepper School, you won't just be a number; our intentionally small class size (approximately 220 in our full-time program) facilitates exceptional opportunities for leadership, networking and community engagement.

Columbia Women in Business (CWiB) participates in admissions events for women, one-on-one mentoring for women applicants and, with an active membership of over 400, extended career and networking programming for current students. The mission of CWiB is to foster a lifelong learning community that enables all CBS women to achieve their personal and professional aspirations through programming, mentoring, coaching and advising that provides education, support and friendship to our members.

The annual CWiB “Women in Business” conference has become a signature event for Columbia Business School and the New York business community. The Conference enables alumnae, business leaders, students and prospective students to network and share ideas on achieving success in the marketplace. Each year, the conference attracts more than 700 women.

Each spring, the WSA hosts the Women in Business Conference which brings together over 1,000 women across many industries and functions to promote women in business. The WSA also sponsors two mentoring programs -- one among students, and one between students and alumnae -- and activities addressing academics, career development, and student life.

There are two pathways to apply to the HBS MBA Program. The 2+2 Program is a way for current students, either in college or a full-time master’s degree program, to apply to HBS on a deferred basis. The 2+2 program is comprised of at least two years of professional work experience followed by two years in the HBS MBA Program. We’re looking for innovative thinkers who have demonstrated leadership and analytical skills and want to develop their knowledge and passion to make a difference in the world. After being admitted through 2+2, students spend a minimum of two years (maximum of four years) working in a professional position in the public, private, or nonprofit sector before enrolling at HBS.

SMU Cox equips students with the skills, knowledge, and hands-on experience to succeed in business by offering a full range of graduate degree programs. Chicago Booth Women's Week, co-sponsored by the Chicago Women in Business Alumnae Network (CWIBAN) and the Office of Admissions, is a unique event for women. In nearly forty cities each year, alumni, students and staff engage women in conversations around the world regarding the MBA and its impact on the careers of women in business, as well as the value of the unique Chicago Booth experience.

Scholarships for women are an integral part of recognizing excellence among Chicago Booth applicants and students. Chicago Booth offers several fellowships for women—including the Robert W. Baird, Forté Foundation, and Herman Family Fellowships—that are part of Chicago Booth's commitment, in cooperation with global corporations and private donors, to provide tuition scholarships specifically to women. Our fellowships go beyond the usual scholarship model, which typically begins and ends with tuition support; we also focus on mentoring, individual development and career options, and corporate access.

The Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota is committed to being an institution where tomorrow's female leadership will grow and thrive.   • All women who enroll in our Full-Time or Management Science MBA programs are Forté Fellows.
  • Merit-based scholarships specifically designated for women studying in the MBA program; awarded in varying amounts from $5,000 to full tuition waiver scholarships plus a stipend for living expenses. Some of these awards, such as the Forté Foundation Fellowships, also include a variety of leadership and career development opportunities.
  • Merit-based scholarship awards up to $20,000 for women and diverse and underrepresented candidates who are admitted to Carlson’s early-career specialty Master’s programs (Master of Marketing, MS in Business Analytics and MS in Finance) The Graduate Women in Business Club aims to empower graduate women in business, to propel more women into leadership positions, and to enhance diversity in the workplace. Learning Lunches and Real Talks provide space for engaging conversations with classmates, professors, alumni, and business leaders on topics such as women in a male-dominated industry, giving and receiving feedback, living a happy life, and parenting. GWIB also supports the Men as Allies Initiative.
  • The Women's Leadership Conference our annual conference, organized collaboratively by students, staff, and faculty, is the premier gathering of female business leaders in Minneapolis.

Carolina Women in Business (CWIB) is one of our largest student-run organizations. Women come to Wharton for its customizable and flexible curriculum, diverse perspectives and global view, and academic excellence across every major discipline. Even before orientation, new students begin their Simon experience with Benet Center Onboarding, a specially designed program of web-based training. We are deeply committed to creating opportunities for female leaders to learn and excel within their chosen professions, and our affiliation with Forté, and the Simon Women in Business (SWiB) organization on campus, promotes events focused on increasing the number of women in business, professional development/mentoring, and networking opportunities.

All four of our MS programs offer the option to pursue an internship track to help you strengthen your résumé and gain professional experience before heading into your full-time role, and are STEM designated, which signals quantitative rigor to employers and gives international students the ability to extend their Optional Practical Training (OPT) for an additional 24 months, for a total of three years of US work eligibility without H1B sponsorship.

Did you know Simon MS graduates have a five-year window to apply for admission to the Simon MBA? If admitted, a significant portion of prior MS credits will transfer, which means you’ll complete the MBA program in approximately half the time. Our Full-Time MBA Program allows you to immerse yourself in student life and intently focus on academics, an intensive career search, and enriching co-curricular activities. Darden women make a significant impact every day — at Darden, in Charlottesville and around the world. They are student club presidents, community leaders, entrepreneurs and more. Darden is committed to recruiting women who want to positively impact the world, and empowering them for long-term success in whatever role they choose.

Furthermore, Darden's chapter of Graduate Women in Business (GWIB) connects, empowers, and celebrates the next generation of women leaders and helps build awareness of women in leadership positions. Throughout the year, they engage students, alumnae, faculty and prospective students in activities ranging from senior speaker series to golf lessons to mentoring programs. Moreover, GWIB's goal is to use education, coaching, networking, and mentoring to foster a lifelong community that enables and empowers Darden women to achieve their professional and personal aspirations, both during and after their time at Darden. In addition, Darden is one of the few MBA programs that provide dedicated lifelong career services resources for its alumni. The Alumni Career Services staff understands the career path of a woman may not always look like that of her male counterparts. Our professional staff provides Darden alumnae with resources and support as they move through different phases of their careers.
