Edie Hunt Inspiration Award

Forté annually recognizes the achievements of Forté mission-driven MBA students at our member business schools. Named in honor of Edie Hunt (Forté's Board Chair, Emeritus), this annual recognition is based on the contribution an MBA student has made to their school or community to improve representation in business leadership. We will celebrate the winner of the 2026 Edie Hunt Inspiration Award at our MBA Leadership Conference in June 2026.

MBA students currently enrolled in a Forté member school who will graduate in 2026. (For one-year programs, all MBA students are eligible.)

Nominations will be accepted through Dec. 8, 2025

Nominees must be currently enrolled as an MBA student at a Forté member school and will graduate in 2026. (For one-year programs, all full-time MBA students are eligible.) The winner will exhibit a track record of working to increase and/or encourage women's interest in business school or business careers through innovation and leadership. Some of the areas the selection committee will consider include, but are not limited to, a nominee’s commitment to:

  • Participating in school events and activities that increase women’s interest in attending business school
  • Leading a student organization, initiative, or program related to equity
  • Advancing student-driven gender equity work on campus
  • Mentoring young women as they explore careers in business
  • Serving as a role model and inspiration to all on campus
  • Supporting the mission of Forté throughout their MBA experience
  • $2,500 cash award
  • Commendation for your resume
  • Free Forté MBA Leadership Conference registration
  • Complimentary accommodations and transportation to the MBA Leadership Conference in Atlanta in June 2026
  • Networking opportunities with Forté Board of Directors and senior executives at the MBA Leadership Conference
  • Announcement on the Forté website, in our newsletter, and across social media

    Partner (retired), Goldman Sachs

    Edie Hunt spent virtually all of her 32 year career at Goldman Sachs in New York. During the first half of her career she held a variety of positions from commodities trader to business unit manager to Chief Administrative Officer of the Fixed Income Division. She spent the second half of her career dealing with critical people issues for the firm, and rose to the level of Partner, serving as Chief Operating Officer of the Human Capital Management Division. In this capacity she had global responsibility for all of the recruiting, training and diversity initiatives of the firm. She has served as both the Chief Diversity Officer and the Chief Recruiting Officer.

    In her non-profit work, along with serving on Forté Foundation’s board, she Chairs the board of New Horizons of Southwest Florida, which provides mentoring and after-school educational help to at-risk K-12 students. Edie is active in her local Florida community association, as Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee. Edie regularly volunteers as a judge at the Model UN held at Florida Gulf Coast University, where she has also sponsored Forté’s undergraduate program. Edie is active in local Florida Democratic politics.

    Edie earned an MBA from University of Chicago Booth School of Business and BA and BS degrees from the University of Pennsylvania.
