EXECUTIVE UPDATE
Forté
Foundation recently wrapped up the 2010 MBA Women’s Conference, held for the
first time in Chicago, IL. For two action-packed days we brought together
close to 400 students, speakers, and panelists, and I left the event energized
and encouraged by how impressive a gathering of powerful women this conference
represents. To quote an attendee, “I'm standing among the future women
leaders of America.”
This year’s
conference focused on a side of business that isn’t always taught in the
business school classroom: the ability to make a difference while still
earning a great living, the responsibilities we share in helping other women
succeed in the business world, and the imperative to adapt to change to succeed
long-term. We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to share the highlights
in this Summer edition and give everyone a glimpse into this amazing event.
We’re also
honored to announce the winner of this year’s Edie Hunt Inspiration award,
presented to an MBA student who most embodies the Forté mission on campus and
in her community. Rebekah Ahn, NYU Stern Class of 2010, was officially
recognized at the conference as this year’s winner. Please read the rest
of this issue to find out more about her work and the career choices she’s made
along the way.
Rebekah first
started thinking about getting her MBA after attending a Forté Forum, and we
hope you too will attend a Forum this fall if you are considering an MBA.
Learn about the career opportunities, admissions process and overall MBA value
proposition from a uniquely female perspective. Registration is now open at www.fortefoundation.org/forum.
We hope to see you there!

Women MBA’s 2010 Virtual Career Fair September 29, 2010 10am to 6pm EST Join us this Fall for the Women MBAs 2010 Virtual Career Fair. Forté Foundation is proud to join Women MBA’s 2010 Virtual Career Fair as an organization partner. Top MBA women from around the country will be there along with national recruiters from leading companies including Forté sponsors. This virtual career fair allows you to video chat and interview with employers from around the country, from your home computer or laptop. Traditional career fairs have become very expensive to attend and many companies have reduced their campus recruiting visits. When you add in time away from school online interviewing makes more sense than ever. Over 500 women MBAs from top schools are expected to register. There is no cost for you to attend the virtual career fair and no software to download but space is limited. Please review the attached invitation and sign up at www.womenmbavirtualcareerfair.com! If you have any questions, please contact Anne Montoya at anne.montoya@womenmbavirtualcareerfair.com.
