Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Sloan), MBA, 2008Ellen Correia Golay is Policy Advisor in the Markets Group at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Ellen leads cross-agency work related to U.S. Treasury market resilience and provides thought leadership on Treasury market and policy topics for the New York Fed’s Open Market Trading Desk (the Desk). Additionally, Ellen serves as the New York Fed’s senior liaison to the Treasury Markets Practices Group (TMPG).
Ellen has spent 20 years in the New York Fed’s Markets Group in a variety of positions, including a role overseeing the 2020 large scale purchases of U.S. Treasuries launched in response to the pandemic. In addition, Ellen guided the Desk’s market monitoring and analysis of Treasury markets for 7 years and led the 2017 run-off of the Federal Reserve’s Treasury portfolio. Prior to her Treasury market work, Ellen spent time on the New York Fed’s mortgage and money markets desks. Ellen began her career at the New York Fed in 2003 as a rotational analyst.
